Annual General Meeting

Deadline:

We are pleased to share that the First Nations Chiefs of Police Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) and General Election for Executive positions will be held in the fall of 2026.

The AGM will bring members together to engage in Executive and General Business, including the presentation of the Annual Report, President’s Report, financial statements, and the introduction of new Executive positions.

Elections are a vital part of FNCPA’s governance and accountability. They ensure that the Association’s leadership reflects the collective voice of its members while providing opportunities for new perspectives and renewed leadership. To support stability and effective governance, FNCPA conducts staggered elections, meaning not all Executive positions are elected at the same time. This approach ensures continuity of leadership, preserves institutional knowledge, and supports a smooth transition between incoming and returning Executive members.

Through the election process, members play a direct role in shaping FNCPA’s direction, strengthening transparency, and maintaining strong, member-driven governance.

We encourage all members to participate, engage in discussions, and take part in the election process as we work together to advance First Nations policing across Canada.

The next FNCPA elections are held in the fall/winter of 2026.
