JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain safety of self and others;
- To conduct a general patrol and respond to calls for service;
- Apply appropriate procedure to respond to calls for service;
- To assist victims of crime and conduct investigations;
- To prepare policing reports;
- To use police equipment and technology
- To apply detainee management
- To deliver court testimony
- To apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including Mohawk Law.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training:
- Graduate from a Recognized Canadian Police Academy; OR
- DEC in Law Enforcement, plus graduation from a recognized Police Academy; OR
- High School Diploma, plus two (2) years of stable work experience.
Special Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old;
- Must pass a physical fitness and drug test.
- You must pass the RCMP Police Fitness Assessment.
- Must pass a psychological exam;
- Must obtain a class 4A driver’s licence.

- A completed Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeeper Release of Claims and Waiver of Liability form;
- Letter of intent, resume and proof of educational requirements;
- Two letters of reference from professionals.
